What is and isn't allowed on GivingStump. These rules apply to every message, job, bid, review, and photo on the platform.
GivingStump exists so homeowners and arborists can plan and complete tree work safely. Use it for that. Bids, job descriptions, messages, and reviews should be about the work — tree species, access, equipment, scope, scheduling, and payment.
Nudity, sexually explicit text or images, sexual solicitation, and sexual harassment of any kind are not allowed. Profile photos, job photos, portfolio photos, and message attachments are all scanned automatically. Violating uploads are blocked and may result in account suspension.
Sharing or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
Real-world graphic violence in photos, and threats of violence in messages or reviews, are not allowed. If you feel threatened on the platform, use the Report button and contact local authorities if you are in immediate danger.
Attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic are not allowed. Tier-1 slurs are auto-blocked.
Sharing phone numbers, email addresses, or external links inside messages is blocked automatically so coordination stays in-app and homeowners stay protected by GivingStump’s payment and dispute systems. Don’t use the platform to advertise unrelated businesses.
Every image upload is scanned for nudity, graphic violence, and other disallowed content using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch before it is stored.
Messages, job posts, bid proposals, and reviews are scanned automatically for sexual content, hate speech, and threats of violence before they are saved.
You can block any other user from the conversation menu (the ⋮ icon at the top of a conversation). Blocked users cannot send you messages.
You can report any message, review, job, bid, profile, or photo with the Report option in its overflow menu. Our team reviews open reports and can remove content or suspend accounts.
